For decades, kitchen pantries across New Zealand have been stocked with Agee jars filled with tasty preserves. Even if you don’t preserve food yourself, there is still a good chance you have at least one of our jars stored away somewhere.

Our vintage Agee brand has even been modernised and creatively applied to beautiful linen aprons and tea towels. You can expect to see more products added to the range over time.

For food and everything else
Agee jars have been used for so many different purposes it’s almost wrong to call them “preserving” jars. For years they have been dressed-up as decorative candle holders and other craft projects, like wedding favours, terrariums and more.
Jars are secretly whisked off to the garden shed to hold screws and paintbrushes, usually without permission. Why? Because everyone knows how useful glass jars are!
This popular purloining of the preserving jar is one of the reasons Agee is branching out into speciality products. Although I don’t think we have plans for a paintbrush jar!

You already know the name…

Punch for Summer
Summer is approaching, bringing with it BBQ’s and parties. Help quench your guests thirst with our handy vintage drink dispensers filled with this delicious Summer Fruit Punch.
It’s easy to make and easy to adapt to your own taste.
Super simple, super tasty!
INGREDIENTS
3 Litres of Fruit Juice (tropical flavours recommended)
1 1/4 Litres of Ginger Ale (not Gingerbeer!)
1 1/4 Litres of your favourite Lemonade
410g Can of Fruit Salad or diced fruits of you choice (optional)
Add a squeeze of lemon juice to taste (optional)
A handful of fresh mint leaves, (optional)
PREPARATION
- Chill the fruit juice and soft drinks until very cold. This is much easier to do while they are still in their bottles, rather than trying to chill the punch afterwards.
- Pop the canned fruit in the freezer for an hour before assembling. Having the fruit super-chilled will help limit the need for adding ice.
- If you don’t want to risk diluting the punch with ice, freeze some of the fruit juice in ice trays overnight.
METHOD
- Add a handful of ice cubes (or the frozed fruit juice cube) to an 8 Litre Agee Drink Dispenser.
- Pour in all the fruit juice and soft drinks.
- Add the chilled fruit and lemon juice and taste.
- Sprinkle in the fresh mint leaves.
Notes
- For extra flavour, you can swap out the lemonade for a fruit flavoured soda of your choice.
- You can adjust any of the proportions to suit your taste.
- If you have the smaller 4 Litre Agee Dispenser, adjust the recipe amount to suit. Alternatively, mix the ingredients in a larger container and decant the punch into the 4 Litre Dispenser plus additional serving glasses ready for your guests.
